The winner of Sanremo 2024, Angelina Mango, had her say on Sangiovanni's withdrawal from the world of music after the singing event.
The latest edition of Sanremo Festival 2024 was a real success with the public and ratings: the fifth hosted by Amadeus recorded great numbers on Rai1, so much so that the Rai top management seems intent on repeating for a sixth event, despite the host's contrary opinion. But the post-Sanremo events were also striking, with the numerous controversies over winners, losers, votes and declarations. Among these moments, also the Sangiovanni's temporary withdrawal from the world of music.

The former school singer of Friends of Maria De Filippi he admitted that he wanted to take a break from the world of music and thus safeguard his mental health. “I always feel close to people who make choices for themselves and therefore I believe that the need to stop is always legitimate, regardless of the generation and the moment. Experiencing the Sanremo stage brings to the surface everything you feel deep down: if you're very happy it shows, if you're angry it shows, if you're tired it shows. It's a very cathartic stage”
Angelina will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest and on the enthusiastic reactions of the fans of the international event he declared:
“I saw the reactions of ESC fans to my song: a Spanish boy stopped listening every two seconds and sang the song even though he didn't know the words. His enthusiasm made me understand the enthusiasm that I perceive in many. they know me, they don't know the before La Noia, but the song travels beyond the borders of the country. The other day I had to make a video in Swedish: obviously I don't know how to speak it, it seems like when you spin a record backwards”
