Apple TV+ has released the first teaser trailer of the highly anticipated nine-episode limited series in streaming Masters of the Aircreated by the executive producers Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman and written by John Orloff.

Starring an all-star cast led by Oscar nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa, Masters of the Air will make its debut on Apple TV+ on January 26, 2024 with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Friday, until March 15.

What is the long-awaited Apple TV+ series about?

Based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Miller and scripted by John Orloff, “Masters of the Air” follows the men of the 100th Bomber Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they engage in dangerous bombing raids over Nazi Germany in prohibitive conditions, due to freezing temperatures, lack of oxygen and to the terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air.

The depiction of the psychological and emotional toll paid by these young men who helped destroy the horror of Hitler’s Third Reich is at the heart of the story of “Masters of the Air.” Some were shot down and captured; others were wounded or killed. Still others were lucky enough to return home. Regardless of individual fate, everyone received a tribute.

Ranging from the bucolic fields and villages of south-east England, to the harsh privations of a German prison camp and portraying a unique and crucial period in world history, Masters of the Air is a true cinematic achievement both in terms of scale , what a scope.
