Yellowstone: release date of the finale and two new spin-offs announced

The final chapter of Yellowstonewhich is the second half of the fifth season, will premiere on Paramount Network in November 2024. Additionally, the Yellowstone universe will expand with another prequel, 1944 (provisory title).

The other previously announced contemporary spin-off series is expected to continue the tradition of giving project titles the year the story belongs, so it’s currently titled 2024. The premiere is expected after the conclusion of Yellowstone.

Yellowstone was originally supposed to end in November, followed by the debut of the spinoff starring Matthew McConaughey in December. The two launches were pushed back to next year after strikes at the WGA and SAG-AFTRA delayed production of both shows.

Is Kevin Costner coming back too?

The future of main series star Kevin Costner has been the subject of speculation following a controversy over his availability in season five. Despite the news of the last few months, there is still a possibility that he will participate in the final episodes of Yellowstone.

Meanwhile, it has not yet been confirmed, but as Deadline reports, Matthew McConaughey is expected to star in 2024, alongside actors from the original series.
