“We continue to invest in Italy and Italian stories with conviction, consolidating our long-term commitment to the country and its creative community”. The words, reported by Sky TG24, are from Eleonora Andreattaformer director of Rai Fiction and now vice president of Italian content for Netflix. They show, as always, great clarity on the company objectives of the present and future. The commitment, moreover, was also demonstrated in recent days, on the occasion of the presentation of the next Italian Netflix projects: an important effort with ambitious productions and a continuity that seems to want to give an increasingly generalist face to a platform in constant evolution.
Going into specifics, there are four new Italian titles announced by Netflix during the event See What’s Next: two films and two TV series. Let’s quickly review them.
