John Travolta could join Quentin Tarantino in his latest effort, The Movie Critic, the film set should welcome other Pulp Fiction stars for a truly special reunion.
We are still in the realm of rumors, but after Samuel L. Jackson, too John Travolta could join the cast of the tenth and final film of Quentin Tarantino, The Movie Critic.
The rumor, currently unconfirmed, is spread by insider Jeff Sneider, who claims that the entire cast of the film has already been chosen, but it has not been officially communicated due to the ongoing strike.
The Movie Critic, which should feature Paul Walter Hauser (another news to be confirmed), could thus represent a joyful swan song for Quentin Tarantino, who could bring together some icons of his cinema on the set. There are even rumors of a possible cameo by Bruce Willis, who could intervene on the set despite the illness that afflicts him.
The Movie Critic, Quentin Tarantino: “The protagonist writes about cinema for a porn magazine”
Pulp Fiction, but with film critics
According to what was anticipated a few weeks ago, before the strike Paul Walter Hauser would have received an offer for the main role in The Movie Criticthat of the film critic Jim Sheldon of the porn magazine The Popstar Pages.
Tarantino described the character as “Travis Bickle if he were a film critic”. So, a solitary and isolated individual, who happens to review films for an underground magazine. The story will be set in 1977 Los Angeles, almost a decade after the events of Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood. Filming, which was supposed to start in the autumn but was then postponed, will begin at the end of the actors’ and screenwriters’ strike.
