Netflix has officially announced the renewal of One Piece, which will therefore return – probably in 2025 – with a second season. The first chapter explored the East Blue saga, and there is a strong possibility that the second will venture into territories such as Drum Island and Alabasta. If Netflix continues to stay true to the source material, we might see Portgas D. Ace make an appearance soon.
Ace debuts in search of Luffy in arid Alabasta, where he turns out to be the protagonist’s brother. The power of Luffy’s Gum Gum no Mi is undoubtedly formidable, but Ace’s Mera Mera no Mi gives him the ability to manipulate flames, unleashing attacks that can incinerate opponents with ease. At the moment, Netflix has not disclosed details about the cast of the second season, but some speculation surrounds who might play this role.
Among One Piece fans, in fact, many suspect that it will be Emery Kellyan emerging actor and musician, to take on the role of Ace. Kelly he has already acted in productions such as Alexa & Katie, Big Shot and Max Winslow and the House of Secrets. Additionally, she recently changed her Instagram profile picture to a photo of Ace.
As if that wasn’t enough to fuel these theories, the actor is followed by Inaki Godoy and Matt Owensrespectively the actor who plays Luffy and the showrunner of the TV series.
