In a new interview, Chris Evans talked about his most recent projects, explaining why he didn’t hesitate in accepting a role in Red One.
Chris Evans will be the protagonist, alongside Dwayne Johnson, of the “Christmas” film Red One and the actor revealed that he always wanted to do a project with a festive atmosphere.
In a long interview given to the magazine GQthe star actually talked about his next projects.
How the actor chose his roles
In the pages of the magazine, Chris Evans talked about the films he has shot in recent years, starting with Ghosted which turned out to be a bit of a flop. The actor admitted: “To me, it felt like a movie like the ones I saw when I was a kid, a type of movie that maybe we don’t see often anymore. And the question is whether viewers have moved on from those types of films and no longer appreciate them“.
Evans later admitted that he had no doubts about accepting Pain Hustlers, in which he starred alongside Emily Blunt. The former Captain America interpreter also praised David Yates, director of the project, claiming: “He is a truly lovely person. And the role was really fun. He was a part that I was excited to play because he was a real character“.
Even easier, finally, to accept Red One: “I had simply been looking for a Christmas movie to make since the beginning of my career“.
