It will be an emotional ending Sex Educationthe teen dramedy that since 2019 has been able to conquer the public (both young and old) on Netflix with its freshness, its irony and its over-the-top style. The video streaming service has released the official Italian trailer of the final chapter of the series which will return with a fourth and final season of 8 episodes (including a series finale lasting an exceptional 83 minutes) next 21 September.

Sex Education 4: All the news for the next season

The trailer invites us to prepare our handkerchiefs (suitable, we allude, for various uses) and anticipates a season full of new sexual experiences, personal growth, love, laughter, tears, friendship, and much more, like Eric’s fantastic wardrobe (Dear friend), Jean’s return to work (Gillian Anderson) with a new boss (played by Hannah Gadsby), that of Adam (Connor Swindells) on the farm, and Aimee’s artistic skills (Aimee Lou Wood). Above all, the clip gives us a preview of how Maeve’s love story will continue (Emma Mackey) from Otis (Asa Butterfield), first long-distance and then to Moordale where she returns to face her first real date with him.

The official plot and where we were left

Created by Laurie Nunn, Sex Education told the story of Otis, a teenager who improvises as a sexual consultant with his schoolmates thanks to the knowledge he learned from his therapist mother. In the finale of last season, the protagonists’ historic high school had closed its doors. Which is why in this fourth season Otis, his best friend Eric and the other students must face their first day at a new school, the revolutionary Cavendish Sixth Form College. According to official synopsis:

Otis is nervous about starting a new clinic, while Eric hopes with all his heart that they won’t be “losers” again. The Cavendish Institute represents a culture shock for all the students of Moordale, who until then thought they were progressive. This new school is very different, every day we do yoga in the common garden, there is an atmosphere dedicated to sustainability and there is a group of kids who are popular for their… kindness?! Viv is totally shocked by the students’ non-competitive attitude, while Jackson is still trying to get over her relationship with Cal. Aimee decides to do something new by taking art classes, and Adam tries to figure out if a traditional education is right for him. In the United States, Maeve is living her dream at the prestigious Wallace University, where she takes classes from cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis pines for her, while he has to get used to no longer being an only child, or the only therapist in school.
