The release date of The Exorcist – The believer was brought forward by a week, from 13 to 6 October 2023 due to the announcement of the simultaneous release of Taylor Swift – The Eras Tourwhich will arrive in US theaters on October 13th.

To avoid any type of competition, given the exaggerated number of fans of the international pop star, Blumhouse wanted to avoid any risk and decided to bring forward the release of the film in the United States. At the moment the Italian release date of David Gordon Green’s film remains set at 12 October 2023.

The Exorcist: The Believer takes place 50 years after the first iconic film and follows a pair of parents who track down exorcism expert Chris MacNeil after their children mysteriously come into contact with a supernatural entity. The first image from the set was revealed some time ago, and then the official trailer of the latest film produced by Blumhouse.
