Jada Pinkett Smith show photos of hair that is growing backor thanks to treatments for alopecia. The actress and host of Red Table Talk shared two selfies on Instagram. In the first photo of hers, her head appears to be shaved, while in the second, her hair, dyed blonde, has grown out a little longer. “This hair acts like it’s trying to come back. There are still some rough spots but… we’ll see✨”, she wrote in the caption of the post. Already on the occasion of Will Smith’s famous slap to Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, Smith had further opened up about her illness in an interview with the Guardian, telling how difficult it was at the beginning and scary.

The illness
Jada Pinkett Smith suffers from alopecia and revealed it in 2018 during her Red Table Talk show in which she recounted when she first noticed the disease in the shower. She has since taken to Instagram frequently to update fans on the status of her condition and to support other women who are losing their hair as well, sharing an optimistic view of her hair loss by telling fans about her, for example, “But you know, mom will put some rhinestones on it. She will make me a crown” or declaring “Alopecia and I will be friends… period!”.
