The story of Daisy Jones & The Six – musical-drama about the rise and precipitous fall of a famous rock band – was a resounding success, both thanks to the book by Taylor Jenkins-Reid than to the Prime Video TV series.
Amazon Studios seems so intent on kicking off the second season of the show, riding on the buzz for the 2023 Emmy nominations.
Amazon Program Manager, Vernon Sanderscommented as follows:
“We are very pleased with the success of our products. The audacity was rewarded when we decided to put together a group of actors, trying to create a real music band. There are conversations with the creative team about expanding the narrative with new episodes.”.
The protagonist Riley Keough he also pointed out:
“It’s been a wonderful experience. I think we would all love to work together again, in any capacity. I don’t know how much space they have left for this opportunity, but I would definitely work with everyone involved with the show again.”.
In 1977 Daisy Jones & The Six are on top of the world. Led by two charismatic singers – Daisy Jones (Keough) e Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) – the band came out of obscurity and became extremely successful, but after a sold-out concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field they disappeared. Now, decades later, the band members have finally decided to tell the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded on the cusp of success.
In the cast are also present Camila Morrone, Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be and the extraordinary participation of Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.
