Marvel Studios’ Japanese Twitter page has unveiled some never-before-seen scenes of Bill Murray playing Krylar in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

When it was announced that the legendary Bill Murray would star in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in an unspecified role, fans couldn’t hide their excitement. Unfortunately, however, the character played by Murray (Krylar) turned out to be very marginal and this disappointed the viewers. However, some never-before-seen scenes seem to suggest that the role was originally much more important than what we saw in the final version of the film.
Katy O’Brien, the actress who plays Jentorra in Ant-Man, during a recent interview published by Inverse revealed what was the initial role that Murray’s character had during the development phase of the film: “He had gone on a space hunt and then ended up with Kang“.
Marvel Studios’ Japanese Twitter page confirmed Katy’s version by posting an almost 2-minute video showing some unreleased scenes and behind-the-scenes footage of Murray’s character. A cut scene from the final cut of the film shows Krylar alongside Kang the Conqueror, Scott Lang, Cassie Lang, and MODOK.
Krylar was also involved in the scene where Jentorra escapes from prison, starting the rebellion against Kang the Conqueror and his army. No explanation has been given regarding the elimination of Krylar’s involvement in the film, although some rumors suggest it was director Peyton Reed’s decision. In any case, Murray’s involvement in the film had fans excited, and it’s disappointing that these scenes weren’t included in the final cut, as his character would certainly have given the story more depth.
