La star di The Danish Girl Alicia Vikander attended the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic and spoke about her latest work, the sci-fi The Assessment, which fits perfectly into the projects to which the actress aspires.

“It’s a pretty wild part. Even the producer was like ‘What are you going to do?’ and I said ‘I don’t know yet.’ Which gives you a little overview,” Vikander explained. “I’ve said many times that I like doing parts that scare me. I feel like I’ve never been there.”

The film is Fleur Fortun√©’s debut: “It’s her first feature film for her. But I received the script and I kind of knew it. It was one of those times when I moved on and then I met Fleur on Zoom. I had really done a lot of research. And she made a lot of short films and music videos and art work with a lot of interesting people and a very clear voice. It’s really impressive. I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her.”

In The Assessment, Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Olsen live in a future where the birth rate is strictly controlled. The two actresses play a couple who express the desire to procreate but are forced to undergo a meticulous examination within seven days in order to obtain the eligibility to have children.
