Salvatore Esposito and Greta Scarano play the role of an unlikely couple, a Camorrista with a good heart and a chef full of ambition, who discover in the restaurant business a unique opportunity for redemption. Carmine (Salvatore Esposito) grew up in Naples in the shadow of the Camorra boss known as “Scimitarra”. Not having what it takes to lead a life of crime on the front line, Scimitarra sends him to Rome, entrusting him with the management of a restaurant destined for money laundering.
Unexpectedly, Carmine becomes passionate about catering, above all thanks to the arrival of Consuelo (Greta Scarano), a young chef of Argentine origin with a difficult character but great ambitions. The love of food and the dream of conquering a Michelin star will give them both a second chance, but how will Carmine escape Scimitarra’s control? Directed by Davide Minnella, the film is a food movie with a crime background and comedy hues, which does not give up on romanticism. In the cast, alongside the protagonists Salvatore Esposito and Greta Scarano, also Gianluca Fru, Gianfranco Gallo, Antonella Attili and Antonio Grosso. The film also sees the participation, as a coach, of the starred chef Cristina Bowerman.
