A few days after the finale of L’Isola dei Famosi, Marco Mazzoli wrote a long letter to his “island”. Il winner of the seventeenth edition of the popular reality show hosted by Ilary Blasi he returned to social networks, letting himself be carried away by emotions:
Dear Isola, I’m flying home. I’m still dazed, I carry your wounds, scrapes, scratches and spider bites, all over my body! I entered this absurd game convinced that I could destroy you, unmask you, change you, because I never liked reality shows and as leader of Lo Zoo di 105 I thought I could tame you. After a few days, you literally turned me inside out, deprived of my certainties, habits, loves, friends, of my freedom and dignity. For 5 long weeks, I hated you, fought you, but then I had to give in to your will, otherwise you would have torn me apart!

From the fifth week, I let myself go, I put the Zoo’s “Mazzoli” on pause and let the real “Marco” come out and from there, things changed radically! You made me cry, you made me laugh, you forced me to live with less than the essentials, you made me go hungry, face complex games, while my body was without strength, but despite everything, I have to thank you…. I came out stronger, with my life priorities list totally overturned, you took everything away from me, but gave you so many lessons! I wouldn’t do this adventure again for any reason, but I will carry it with me forever! It pains me to admit it, but you beat me, I didn’t win, you won!
