The new Apple TV+ project has yet to be released, but that hasn’t stopped critics from previewing it — and writing their very first (and awful) reviews. At the time of writing this article, lhe new TV series starring Tom Holland has an 11% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

But let’s talk about the reviews. Nick Schager of The Daily Beast criticized the show for “spoil yourself from the start” as it continues to “pretend he wasn’t doing it”:
“The Crowded Room is a unique television product, which spoils itself from the beginning and then pretends not to, endlessly revealing the same information it has already given”.
And while Marshall Shaffer of Slash Film criticized the show’s twists and turns by calling them “boring”, Chase Hutchinson by Collider defined the show “more embellished than engaging”.
It’s still, Angie Han of The Hollywood Reporter defines it “a heartbreaking story too long”While Fred Warm from United Press International says: “By treating the premise of the source material and the true story it’s inspired by as a big surprise, it undermines the argument. It would be like adapting Moby Dick and saying, ‘Don’t talk about the whale, that’s a spoiler.'”.
The Crowded Room will debut on Apple TV+ on June 9.
