Stranger Thingsthe global Netflix phenomenon, will end with the fifth season. The end of this beloved TV series will represent the end of a real era for the streaming giant. Combining the 80s aesthetics with the atmospheres of the novels by Stephen Kingthe brothers Duffer they managed to create a beloved new pop culture phenomenon. After several years, the moment of truth is about to arrive: the last episodes will give an answer to every question and all the unsolved mysteries will be revealed. The Duffer brothers are working hard to craft an ending that’s worthy of the story and doesn’t disappoint the fans. Unfortunately too Stranger Things was badly damaged by the writers’ strike called by the Writer’s Guild of America, and the start of filming scheduled for this summer has been postponed to a later date. The yellow also remains on the period in which the new episodes will arrive on Netflix: this situation could lengthen the waiting times for the fifth season.
An actor gave an interesting preview of the fifth season of Stranger Things.
Interviewed by ComicBook.com on May 31st Caleb McLaughlin spoke about the fifth season of the brothers’ tv series Duffer. The interpreter of Lucas’ character admitted that he has not yet had the opportunity to read the entire scripts due to the writers’ strike, but he already has enough knowledge about what is going to happen, to be able to get an idea of what it will be like Stranger Things 5. What can viewers anticipate? They won’t be disappointed at all. In fact, he said in the interview he gave to Comic book.com:
“I haven’t had a chance (to read the entire script) but I have an idea what will happen. I know some things. Right now we are supporting writers. I think it will be fine, though. She will be really beautiful. I think people will be happy with it. I don’t know much about what’s going to happen and until the writers’ strike is over, I won’t be able to get more information“.
May 6th the Duffer brothers announced in a tweet, posted to the writers room twitter account by Stranger Things, that production would stop to support the writers’ strike. Indeed, they communicated:
“The writing doesn’t stop when the shooting starts. While we are thrilled to begin production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible to continue working during this strike. Let’s hope a fair settlement is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then, over and over again. #wgastrong.”
