The plot of the movie: The film is an Agatha Christie-style crime, in which the shrewd investigator Benoit Blanc has to find out who killed the 85-year-old novelist Harlan Thrombey, found lifeless in his home in unclear circumstances, after a party for his birthday. The brilliant detective is sure that the man was killed and begins to investigate who could be the murderer. In fact, according to Blanc, anyone can be the culprit. Both the family members and the servants would have had a motive to get rid of Harlan, so everyone is a suspect.
The imminent reading of the will brings out the family conflicts, as well as the greed and greed of the writer’s relatives. Harlan’s is a family in which hostility, mostly caused by different generations and opposing mentalities, is the master; a building in the balance, in which the main pillar has been missing, Harlan himself…
The plot of the movie: Driss is a young boy of Senegalese origin who, after having been in prison, is looking for signatures to certify his participation in various job interviews in order to continue to have welfare benefits for himself and his large family. Philippe is a wealthy quadriplegic looking for a caregiver. Driss shows up at his large building with the sole purpose of collecting another signature without hoping to get the job, but Philippe, struck by his listless and disinterested behavior, unexpectedly hires him. Initially Driss seems unwilling to make any effort to learn the duties he is to perform, and apparently his experience of him seems to be winding down quickly. But soon the two begin to establish a beautiful relationship: Driss approaches Philippe without preconceptions unlike all the others, making him forget about his physical problem.
The two spend a lot of time together, wandering around the city at night as Philippe used to do in the old days, and a complicity takes over between the two which leads them to exchange confidences…
The plot of the movie: The film brings to the screen the legendary rivalry between two of the best tennis players in history, who ended up on opposite sides of the same court 14 times in four years (between 1978 and 1981).
The icy calm of tennis player Björn Borg against the fiery temper of opponent John McEnroe; the rigid and calibrated movements of the Swedish player against the nervous and dynamic game of the American, prey to frequent fits of anger against the spectators and the referee on duty. The opposition between the two athletes does not end on the tennis court: the opposing personalities, the different styles and the unpredictability of the results make the confrontation even more close and compelling, projecting the two champions among the stars of the sporting firmament. Until the 1980 Wimbledon final, considered one of the most beautiful matches in tennis history…
The plot of the movie: The film is set in a future where humans have begun to explore other planets and their moons, looking for precious resources to exploit. The protagonists of the story are Damon and his teenage daughter Cee, engaged in a dangerous mission within a remote forest full of pitfalls on one of these moons. Their aim is to find a rich deposit of Aurelac, a currency of exchange between the various planets of the Confederacy.
Despite their inexperience as explorers, father and daughter are ready to take risks to find and collect sufficient quantities of the precious gem and thus secure a better future.
As they go deeper and deeper into the dense forest, Damon and Cee are faced with various challenges: in addition to the natural dangers of the environment they have to explore, they also have to deal with rival explorers. The discovery of the remains of a previously failed expedition makes him realize that perhaps they have overestimated their abilities. It is then that they meet Ezra, another seeker who seems to be more experienced and better informed than them. Although Damon and Cee are in doubt whether or not to trust the man, the three decide to join forces to complete the mission…
The plot of the movie: The film stars Alice, a forty-year-old nurse whose serene life alongside her husband Thomas Kertez and their son Romain is about to be turned upside down by a terrible suspicion.
What she considers the love of her life, the father of her child, would not be the quiet and kind man she has lived with over the years. Thomas is actually Antoine Durieux-Jelosse, a heinous assassin who disappeared into thin air fifteen years earlier after having savagely massacred his family.
To support this terrible truth is Sophie Lancelle, Chief of Police, who in all these years has never abandoned the search to track down the man responsible for that heinous crime.
Despite Thomas loudly proclaiming his innocence, the man finds himself in the middle of a whirlwind of suspicions, trapped in the struggle between two fiercely opposed women: on the one hand his wife, who doesn’t want to believe she’s lived all this time next to a murderer, on the other Sophie, firmly convinced that he is one of the most wanted criminals in recent years.
While the clear line between truth and lie begins to blur, even Alice’s certainties begin to falter…
