Only from 3 to 5 July, the last legendary show by David Bowie in the role of Ziggy Stardust arrives in Italian cinemas for the first time, completely restored in digital.
On July 3, 1973 David Bowie took to the stage at London’s Hammersmith Odeon for “kill“, in front of 5000 incredulous fans, Ziggy Stardusthis most famous alter ego: 50 years after that day, Ziggy comes back to life thanks to the cinema from 3 to 5 July with “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” in a completely restored version (list of rooms soon on nexodigital.it).
That extraordinary night of 1973 was in fact immortalized by the famous director DA Pennebaker (Monterey Pop, Bob Dylan Don’t Look Back, Depeche Mode 101) who filmed backstage and on stage David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars and even Ringo Starr who had entertained for a chat with them. The digital restoration of the film was supervised by his son, Frazer Pennebaker.
Presented on the big screen in 4K and with 5.1 audio, the event will offer Bowie fans the unique opportunity to come together to relive an iconic moment that changed pop culture forever and to discover the complete lineup for the first time which was played on that fateful night, including the final scenes with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck and the performance by The Jean Genie which was cut from the original film version.

A global success that would make history.
