The plot of the movie: Ambitious Congressman Stephen Collins, head of the committee that manages national defense funds, contacts his old college classmate, journalist Cal McAffrey, following the mysterious death of his beautiful assistant and secret lover, Sonia Baker. The young woman lost her life under the Washington subway train and the matter was dismissed as a suicide. But Stephen, not convinced of the suicide hypothesis, wants to find out the truth about the terrible event and hopes to be able to obtain important information from his old friend Cal.
McAffrey has become an accomplished investigative reporter for the Washington Globe, and loves to investigate the old-fashioned way, going to the source himself, asking intelligent questions in the name of truth and a good story to tell. The assault journalist, little inclined to new technologies, will find himself absurdly sharing the complicated investigation with a young woman expert in the blogsphere, Della Frye, and with her editor, Cameron Lynne.
The three will come to discover that Sonia’s death is closely connected to a shady private company, PointCorp, which also has contacts with Collins.
During the highly intriguing investigation, Cal will meet his old flame, Anne Collins (Robin Wright), now Stephen’s wife, for whom the charming journalist still has feelings…

The plot of the movie: The film is set in Baltimore, where Thomas Brian Reynolds, head of a branch of the National Security Agency fails to convince a representative of the US congress to vote in favor of the privacy law. Faced with the refusal, the assassins have the green light to kill him. However, Reynolds does not know that a video camera, installed by researcher Daniel Zavitz, has taken up what in the eyes of others seems only an accidental death. Zavitz, however, realizes what has happened and intends to send the film to the press.
In the same city Robert Clayton Dean is a solicitor, mainly engaged in the defense of workers’ rights. Happily married and with a child, Robert enters a lingerie store one day to give his wife a birthday present. The plot of the movie: Scotland 1886.
