After the recent details revealed by the protagonist Henry Cavill, new details regarding the villain have emerged. In fact, the showrunner intervened in this regard Lauren Schmidt Hissrich:
“Next season represents the culmination of what we have built from the beginning. We will see the whole Continent change, which is extremely exciting”.
The writers have been working from the beginning, to arrive at this imminent revelation about the villain:
“There will be an epic reveal! Our villain is playing a very long game that has been going on for decades. What I also love is that Geralt and Yennefer are trying to find out his true identity”.
Joey Bateyface of Ranuncolo, also added:
“War has been an actual threat for so long. The epic, the challenges for the Continent, at a macro level, are huge. But the challenges at the micro level are even bigger.”.
Prophecies, timelines out of phase and secondary characters have been the trademark of the previous seasons, but in the new episodes a well-defined villain will be shown.
The first part of the third season of The Witcher will arrive on Netflix on June 29, while the second will be available from July 27.
