Futurama is poised to make a triumphant return with the long-awaited revival, which 10 episodes – whose titles have been announced – promise an exclusive reveal: the “secret” origin of Robot Santa. This will be one of the most important story arcs of the season.
It is not yet known what exactly the story of the evil robot will reveal, during whose very first appearance in the animated series it was revealed that he was created by the Friendly Robot Company. His standards were too high, however, and he ended up considering everyone (except Doctor Zoidberg) too bad to deserve gifts.
Second the full synopsis of the season, “After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly out of the cryogenics tube, its original cast and satirical wit remaining intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for new viewers to pick up on the series for. hence, while longtime fans will recognize the results of decades-old mysteries, including developments in Fry and Leela’s epic love story, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile, there’s a new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin and streaming TV.”.
The Futurama revival hits Disney+ on July 24.
