Among the protagonists of Rabbit Hole – the TV series that marks Kiefer Sutherland’s return to the thriller genre after 24 – there is also Meta Golding. Born in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian-American actress grew up between India, France and Italy. It is in our country that Meta Golding spent part of her adolescence, studying at the international high school in Rome and competing as part of our national ice skating team. After her competitive spirit came a passion for acting and theater studies at Cornell University.

The series stars John Weir (Kiefer Sutherland), a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, who is framed for murder by powerful forces with the ability to influence and control the populace. Meta Golding plays Hailey Winton, a lawyer who has a passionate encounter with Weir and whose life ends up being turned upside down by what they thought was only l’affair of one night. Hailey – who John Weir suspects is a very different person than she portrays herself for – owes everything she’s been able to accomplish to herself and has learned to rely only on her abilities to get by in her life.
“What sets this series apart from my previous work is that it addresses the dangers that arise from our misuse of today’s technology,” explains Golding to Tvserial.it, adding that “We should all be more aware of our online habits. We risk reaching the point where technological progress will exceed our ability to know how to manage it”. Of his period in the beautiful country, Meta Golding retains very fond memories – in addition to the markedly Roman accent. “I love Italy, I recently returned with my mother for the first time after the pandemic. It’s as if an Italian teenager still lives inside me” says the actress.
