Elite 8, the eighth season already in preparation
Elite 8 will be there. This is what the Brazilian portal has published Popline, reporting an indiscretion according to which Netflix has already given the green light to the processing of the eighth season of its original Spanish cult. The official announcement has not yet come from the streaming giant, and will arrive – most likely – close to the release of the seventh season, expected in the autumn. Again according to what was published by Popline, in the cast of season number 8 the presence of André Lamoglia in the role of Ivan, the character he plays in the series starting from the fifth season, would be confirmed.
That Netflix may already be working, behind the scenes, on an eighth cycle of Elite This is news that would surprise few people. The teen drama thriller tinged – with its mysteries, its scandals and its love triangles – has proven that it can stand the test of time. To date we have reached the third cast change compared to that of the debut, which took place in 2018. A demonstration of longevity that other series in the past had barely managed (intercom Skins). More than a series now Elite has become a format: beyond the characters, it is the setting, or rather the arena to use the technical language of dramaturgy, that represents the hook that attracts, season after season, millions of subscribers looking for amusement and entertainment above the lines.
The current main cast of Elite consists of Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia, Carmen Arrufat, Álex Pastrana, Álvaro de Juana, Ander Puig and Ana Bokesa. Starting from the seventh season they are also joined by Mirela Balic, Fernando Líndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Ivan Mendes, Alejandro Albarracin and Maribel Verdu. Nadia Al Saidi – seen as Sonia in season 6 – and Omar Ayuso, who played Omar in the first five seasons, will reprise their roles in the new episodes. Behind the camera of the seventh season created we find Lino Escalera, Menna Fité, Roger Gual and Ana Vázquez.
