Fairy tales handed down orally have always been dark stories with even bloody implications: after Winnie the Pooh, cinema also reserves a horror treatment for Cinderella, with Cinderella’s Curse.
The news of a horror version of Winnie the Pooh has caused a sensation and (almost certainly) undeserved curiosity, so much so that a sequel has already been planned for that low-budget splatter. Eager for “new stories” and contaminations, possibly without having to pay for the long-expired royalties, genre directors are increasingly turning to the world of fairy tales. Who will make the horror Cinderella
The film will be called Cinderella’s Curse and will be released in October of this year. As befits a story typically for females, the film will be produced and directed Louisa Warrenwhile the screenwriter is Harry Boxley. Protagonists are Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna e Danielle Scott. The director told BD; “This is a very unique version of the Cinderella that we all know and love. There are going to be some really terrifying murders performed by her. I think gore fanatics are going to have a blast with my dark take.” That’s what, for the moment, we are waiting for the first images of the film and we bet on the next character from fairy tales or fairy tales who will end up taking a bloodbath: Peter Pan?
