Netflix has confirmed some details regarding the release of The Fall of the House of Usher: the new TV series of Mike Flanagan And arriving this fall, presumably in time for Halloween. This timeline lines up with previous shows by Flanagancome The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor e The Midnight Club, tutte presentate a ottobre.

Flanagan, however, has announced a change of course for its future. Despite a multi-year deal with Netflix, she revealed that will leave the platform and bring its future products up Prime Video.

The miniseries will be based on the short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe of 1839, as well as various other works by the legendary writer. The cast will consist of Bruce Greenwood (Doctor Sleep), Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor), Mary McDonnell (Donnie Darko), Carl Lumbly (Shining) e Mark Hamill.

No one is more excited about this adaptation than the same Flanaganwho revealed that this project gave him the opportunity to run wild with his macabre creativity, creating what appears to be a delightfully explosive final product:
“It’s the closest thing I’ve created to the yellow genre. It’s wild, dark, blood-soaked, evil, funny, aggressive, scary, and hilarious. I never got to work on anything like that”.
