When In Silence, the new TV series with Manu Ríos and Arón Piper, comes out
Is titled “In silence” and debuts Friday 19 May 2023. Let’s talk about the new Spanish Netflix TV series that the streaming giant founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings plans to launch on the platform globally.
The prolific Spanish creator Atitor Gabilondo – creator of Patria for Hbo, as well as hit titles like Prince broadcast a few years ago on Canale 5, and by Living Without Permissionavailable from us on Netflix – is at the helm of The silencea psychological thriller that investigates “the damage caused by silences and unspoken words,” Gabilondo said in commentary on the series which began filming in May of last year.

Arousing particular attention is the news of the casting of this project that brings together the actors Manu Rios and Aron Piper after the success of Elite. In this series, Arón Piper is the protagonist and plays the character of Sergio Ciscar, a young man just released from prison after serving a six-year sentence for murdering his parents. Sergio entered prison when he was still a minor.

Over the years many questions have arisen about his case. This is because Sergio decided not to collaborate with justice, nor were the reasons for the crime ever learned. The experts who have followed Sergio during his detention are unable to understand whether the young man, once he has returned to freedom, wants to rebuild his life or whether he is in fact the monster that the sentence had profiled. What Sergio ignores is that there is an entire team led by a young psychiatrist ready to observe him day and night to find out his next moves.

Rounding out the cast of the series Aitor Luna (Valeria always on Netflix), Almudena Amor (the good pattern), Ramiro Blas (The Mystery School), Cristina Kovani (Hunting: Monteperdido), Aria Bedmar (The Heirs of the Earth) and Mikel Losada (Ane).
In addition to EliteArón Piper played a lead role in the miniseries Chaos After You, released on Netflix in December two years ago. Manu Ríos is also trying his hand at new roles that take him far from the corridors of Las Encinas. The actor recently starred in the the age of angerseries produced by Mediapro and based on the novel of the same name by Nando López in which the character of Ríos is accused of having killed his father.

Alea Media produces the TV series – whose first season includes eight episodes – created and produced by Aitor Gabilondo. The latter takes turns directing together with Gabe Ibáñez Esteban and Crespo.
