We are only in May, yet we can already say with certainty that one of the most unexpected and explosive news of the year was that of the reboot Of Harry Potter. Indeed, in April, after months of negotiations between J.K. Rowling and the Warner Bros., HBO has officially announced the making of a new series centered around the most famous wizard of all time. It’s a project really Without precedentsorganized by Warner Bros. in a period decennialwhich involves the creation of seven seasons, each of them focused on one of the books that make up the saga fantasy. I castingin which Rowling will play a leading role, should start in just under nine months and for the young students parts of Hogwarts will also be open to children with no previous experience.
As everyone knows, HBO’s is by no means the first adaptation for the books of Harry Potter. Everyone will remember that between 2001 and 2011 from the saga they were drawn otto moviealso distributed by Warner Bros., in which the eponymous wizard was played by Daniel Radcliffeflanked by Emma Watson e Rupert Grint as faithful friends Hermione Granger e Ron Weasley. Although they weren’t quite close to the novels, the films had a resounding success and, not to be taken for granted, they ended up shaping the collective imagination as much as books. For this reason, the news of a reboot Of Harry Potter has aroused mixed reactions in fans of JK Rowling’s saga, who struggle to imagine the characters with faces different from those of the film actors. And, these days, right one of these actors broke the silence.
In an interview for RadioTimesJason Isaacs commented on the recent news of the reboot Of Harry Potter
For those who don’t remember, in the eight films of the saga of Harry Potter the actor lent his face to the character Lucius Malfoythe treacherous and opportunistic father of Draco (Tom Felton)as well as death eater faithful ally of Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). Like all other movie actors, Isaacs almost certainly will he will not reprise his role in the new HBO/Warner Bros.
Speaking of the upcoming rebootthe actor admitted that the situation is certainly strange for him, but not much more strange than it is for the fans. Also, Jason Isaacs acknowledged that movies have left out many details featured in the books, and that reboots are now an everyday phenomenon. Far from being unhappy, therefore, the actor expressed his opinion curiosity about the project. Here are Isaacs’ words:
“It’s no weirder to me than it is to everyone else who has seen the movies.I also happen to have acted in films,” explained Jason Isaacs. “They make a new ‘Spider Man’ every 15 minutes. You know, there were a lot of things in the books that we left out…Yes, it’s a bizarre feeling, but it’s no more bizarre to me than to anyone else. I can’t wait to see them and see what they do”.
What can I say: we too can’t wait to see what will come out!
