Friends is a seminal sitcom in television pop culture that has endured for years after its 2004 finale because the cast has generally embraced their most famous roles, periodically meeting and talking freely about the moments lived.
Although Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer e Courteney Cox have moved on to other projects over the years, they have no problem occasionally recalling some of their most memorable scenes.
Courteney Cox has brought back to life one of the epic moments of the television series
Cox is back to making Friends talk in a new video on social network TikTok, adding an action-movie twist to the 90s sitcom’s famous Season 6 dance, “The One With The Routine“, which features the memorable dance created by the brothers Monica (Cox) e Ross (Schwimmer). Below is the video posted by the actress:
In the video, the star of Scream collaborate with Kelly Erdmann of TikTok and starts like an action movie. The sequence is very reminiscent of action movies like John Wick o Lethal Weapon: Courteney Cox she is initially a tired warrior and reluctant to perform the routine. She hears the actress say, “I left that life behind and vowed never to go back to it“, dusting off his disinfectant spray with a stylish move Monicabut eventually gives in.

The TikTok, including the playtime that happened with the singer Ed Sheeranhas been highly praised by commentators, some of whom have asked the Cox to recreate the moment with Schwimmer.
Given that Friends is popular with new fans and nostalgic alike, thanks to its presence as streaming platform Netflix, it’s impressive that a serious reboot has never been attempted, even when many other, less popular comedies have been given the treatment.
This missed reboot is due to the lead actors not being interested in reprising their old roles. During the HBO Max reunion special of Friends it has also been suggested that a revival would undo some of the happy endings achieved by characters such as Monica e Rosspotentially alluding to another breakup in the pair formed between Ross e Rachel.
Another possibility could be a reboot centered around the children of the original characters, but that idea ignores the fact that it wasn’t the show’s premise that ensured its popularity.
The premise of a romantic sitcom with a tight-knit group wasn’t new when Friends debuted, but what made the show special were the actors themselves, making any reboot that doesn’t put them at the center feel meaningless.
