If in its first edition, Lady Whistledown will celebrate Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) for being nominated by the Regina Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), in later publications will be less merciful to the families of Mayfair. Portia Featherington (Polly Walker) will be particularly furious with the mysterious author for the way she rages against her daughters and those of Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker).
Determined to unmask her, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) will undertake a mission on behalf of the Queen. Initially she will try to involve her great friend Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), but the reluctance of the latter seems motivated by the love triangle that sees her involved with Marina and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), with whom she is secretly in love. Initially suspicions of her focus on Genevieve Delacroix (Kathryn Drysdale), the high society seamstress who will establish a relationship with Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). The latter will be the alibi that will exclude Genevieve from the list of possible Lady Whistledown.
When Eloise learns of the floor of Queen Charlotte to catch Lady Whistledown on her way to the printer that same night, young Bridgerton will go on the place of ambush and will warn the carriage carrying the mysterious writer to flee before the queen’s men capture her.

Eloise decides to defend Lady Whistledown and to protect your anonymity why he estimates her: after all, Whistledown is a woman author in a world dominated by men.
