Mare fuori is the best series of the year at the Nastri d’Argento 2023: the most popular series in the Crime, Dramedy, Comedy, Docuseries and TV film categories are still in competition.

An extraordinary phenomenon of popularity like Sea out is the Series of the Year 2023 ai Silver Ribbons dedicated to the great seriality, from tomorrow to the vote of the Film Journalists who will award the winners on Saturday 17 June in Naples, on the final evening of the event organized with the Campania Region Film Commission. In the running for the title of Best External Night Series (Rai Fiction), The lying life of adults (Netflix), The bad guy (Prime Video), The good mothers (Disney+) and Everything asks for salvation (Netflix), a ‘five’ excellent signed by Marco Bellocchio, Francesco Bruni, Edoardo De Angelis, Elisa Amoruso with the younger Giuseppe G. Stasi and Giancarlo Fontana.
The best of the series in thirty titles from 2022-’23 aired by 30 April 2023 for the vote of the Film Journalists which opens tomorrow: as for 77 years for the Nastri d’Argento dedicated to cinema, journalists will reward, even in co-productions international, exclusively Italian talents. In the ‘five’ candidates are also nominated for each Production, Direction and Screenplay title with special attention to each artistic and technical cast as a whole.
In five, again, i ‘genres‘ of the most popular series: Crime, Dramedy, Comedy and this year Docuseries to which is added a trio of titles for Best TV Film. Particular attention, as always, finally, to the leading and supporting actresses and actors.
And here are the nominations: among the Crime titles are Christian – second season (Sky), Il Patriarca (Mediaset), Lidia Poët’s law (Netflix), Rocco Schiavone – fifth season (Rai Fiction) and Six women. The mystery of Leila (Rai Fiction). In Dramedy Black out – Suspended lives (Rai Fiction), Free body (Paramount +), Prisma (Prime Video), Stay with me (Rai Fiction) and Shake (Rai Fiction) compete against each other. Five of the best comedies with Boris 4 (Disney+), Call my agent (Sky), The crimes of the BarLume (Sky), Stuck – season 2 (Netflix) and Sono Lillo (Prime Video).
Candidates for the Docuseries: Circeo (Paramount+), The Alex Schwazer Case (Netflix), The Hour – Ink Against Lead (Mediaset), Vatican Girl: The Disappearance of Emanuela Orlandi (Netflix), Wanna (Netflix). Finally, three titles competing for Best TV Film: Fernanda (Rai Fiction), Filumena Marturano (Rai Fiction) and Tina Anselmi. A life for democracy (Rai Fiction).
Finally, as a tradition, the Ribbon of legality and some special awards to the ‘icons‘ of the year, with great attention to particular performances and to the discovery of new talents. Once again, after the success of the first editions, welcomed with enthusiasm by the industry and the world of creativity, the Film Journalists are preparing to return to Naples, more and more ‘capital‘ of seriality thanks to the ferment of a real ‘manufacturing district‘, signaling with the series also the actors who have given particular interpretations this year. Here they are, in alphabetical order, starting with the five candidate protagonists: Margherita Buy (Esterno notte), Barbara Chichiarelli (The good mothers), Matilda De Angelis (The law by Lidia Poët), Giordana Marengo and Valeria Golino (The lying life of adults) and Claudia Pandolfi (The bad guy).
Leading actors: Francesco Colella (The good mothers), Marco Giallini (Rocco Schiavone – fifth season), Fabrizio Gifuni (Outdoor night), Luigi Lo Cascio (The bad guy), Edoardo Pesce (Christian – second season). The supporting actress candidates are: Valentina Bellè (The good mothers), Selene Caramazza (The bad guy), Emanuela Fanelli (Call my agent), Daniela Marra (External night) and Pina Turco (The lying life of adults). Finally, the supporting actors: Vinicio Marchioni (Django), Gabriel Montesi (Outer Night), Andrea Pennacchi (Everything asks for salvation), Alessandro Preziosi (The lying life of adults) and Toni Sperandeo (Scattered – season 2).
