Disney has released the Italian version of a clip of the live-action remake due out later this month.

The Italian division of Disney has streamed the official clip de The little Mermaid that sees Halle Bailey perform one of the songs from the animated classic in the live-action remake, ie At the bottom of the sea.
Rob Marshall directed the remake of the 1989 Disney animated classic with Alan Menken returning to update its score to modern sensibilities, aided by the talents of Lin-Manuel Miranda. Four new songs were also added to the musical.
After the world premiere held a few days ago, the first reactions to The Little Mermaid began to flock online, which praised Bailey’s performance as Ariel but pointed the finger at the absence of magic, which instead distinguished the classic of animation.

The original film won two Academy Awards in 1990, one for best score by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, and one for Under the Sea as best original song always for the two authors.
The live-action remake will be released in Italian cinemas on May 24th.
