Ray Liotta unfortunately left us prematurely at only 67 on May 26, 2022 and today the causes of the disease that led to his death were revealed.
Almost a year has passed since that accursed May 26th which took us away, in a year full of famous deaths, Ray Liotta at just 67 years old. As you recall, the actor had died in his sleep while on the set of the film Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic, leaving everyone, obviously starting with the people closest to him, his daughter and young girlfriend, in shock. Today the usual TMZ reveals the causes of Liotta’s death, which depict a compromised state of health.
What Ray Liotta died of
The iconic actor of Those good guysaccording to the autopsy certificate, he died of pulmonary edema and – of course – acute cardiac arrest. There was fluid in the actor’s lungs and he was apparently suffering from respiratory problems. Not only that: Liotta also suffered from atherosclerosis, or the thickening of the arteries and the consequent predisposition to cardiovascular problems. Unfortunately, knowing how he died doesn’t change things for the family and for the fans who have lost the actor, who left behind a number of completed projects before his death: we saw him in Cocainorsoin the miniseries Black Bird and we still wait for it Fool’s Paradiseas well as in what unfortunately was fatal to him, Dangerous Waters. Last February, when the actor received a posthumous star on the Walk of Fame, his daughter Karsen paid him a moving tribute: “I am very touched to accept this honor on behalf of my dad. I could not be more proud of him He was a unique actor and the best friend, brother and father anyone would want to have. (…) Thank you for your work and the mark you left on me and everyone who loves you. Everyone deserves a Ray in the life”.
