Joe Russo has revealed in a new podcast that there have been conversations regarding possibly directing the Kevin Feige-produced Star Wars film.
I Russo brothers revealed that they had been approached to discuss possible involvement in the film by Star Wars produced by Kevin Feige.
The project, which according to Kathleen Kennedy never got beyond the early stages of conception, was then abandoned and does not appear destined to arrive in theaters in the future.
Joe Russo, during the podcast Smartless, revealed the interesting backstory. The director said: “We love Star Wars. There were some conversations, they had talked about it with usThe filmmaker, who collaborated with the head of Marvel Studios on the Captain America and Avengers films, added: “Kevin Feige is a huge Star Wars fan and there have been some initial conversations regarding possibly collaborating with Kevin to make a Star Wars movie.“.

In 2019, the first rumors emerged regarding the possible film produced by Feige and, subsequently, it was discovered that Michael Waldron was writing the script.
In March 2023, Variety he later revealed that the project had been abandoned for now.
Kathleen Kennedy, during the Star Wars Convention which was held in London, had also admitted that a significant point in the development of the potential film had never been reached.
