The remaining unreleased episodes of season 11 will be aired in Italy on Sky Serie and streaming on NOW from May 30th.
In Italy we will only realize it in a few weeks, when the programming of the unpublished season 11 of Chicago Fire will start again on Sky Serie and streaming on NOW on Tuesday 30 May. In the United States, however, Taylor Kinney is no longer one of the faces of the successful NBC series since last February, after the interpreter of the fireman Kelly Severide decided to take a break from work to address an unspecified personal matter. The fourteenth episode was aired, while the twenty-second, the last of the season, is expected for May 24th. Will Kinney show up in time to say goodbye?
Chicago Fire: Who will return in the season 11 finale?
Unfortunately for fans of Chicago Fire, the answer is no. Taylor Kinney will not appear in any of the remaining four episodes of the eleventh season (the nineteenth of the 22 scheduled will air tonight in the United States). The last time he was talked about – watch out for advances! Severide had left Chicago to take advantage of a last-minute opportunity too good to pass up: an arson investigation training program in Alabama. Annoyed to have lost one of his best men on a day’s notice, Commander Boden (Eamonn Walker) had been reassured by Captain Tom Van Meter that what happened did not mean that Severide was transferring to OFI (Office of Fire Investigation).
Chicago Fire has been renewed for a twelfth season, and in all likelihood that will be the moment when Severide will return to show his beautiful face. Meanwhile, once again, Jesse Spencer will try to fill the void as Matt Casey. It was announced that the actor will reprise his beloved role in the season finale, just weeks after rejoining his character in the eighteenth episode. On that occasion, Casey had returned to Chicago to enlist Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae May) in a Department of Homeland Security task force against a possible terrorist attack on American soil. Plus, he’d been using his time in the city to figure things out with his ex-girlfriend, Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), discovering that she has started dating again. The ending will add a new piece to the story of the internal security threat, with the official synopsis that anticipates: “Kidd will find a new lead in the case”.
