The daytime of Amici today, Friday 28 April, proved to be very exciting for the students of the talent of Channel 5 conducted by Maria De Filippi: the boys, in fact, met Jessica Notarowho shared a touching thought with them.

Jessica Notaro is an Italian activist and artist: on January 10, 2017 her life is turned upside down when her ex-partner scars her face with acid. For her crime he is sentenced to 15 years in prison. Jessica from that episode she began to testify and speak openly about violence and toxic relationships, embarking on an activist journey, so that her story would become an example and help other women like her.
Today, in the daytime of Amici, Jessica Notaro she wanted to tell herself and revealed to the students that years earlier she had tried to audition for the talent show and that singing had helped her when she fell into her darkest moment:
“I don’t know if you know my story completely, but a few years ago I had an affair for a few years with the wrong person, but I was very young to understand it and very naive. My life changed and I had to deal with a face I didn’t know in the mirror, but I recognized my voice right away and I remember that I was already very scared that evening, also because I couldn’t see well in my right eye, however, vocalizing in the hospital helped me keep calm Today, I’m here and I can tell about it, compared to others who are no longer here. I don’t know if I’m strong, as they tell me, but I was able to have access to resources that others didn’t have. I was afraid, but fear shouldn’t overwhelm us.”
The activist answered the boys’ questions, also telling of the marriage proposal received from her current partner Philip Bolognaa few months ago:
“I’ve never been afraid of falling in love again, we can’t let a single rotten apple ruin our lives. In September I’m getting married to Prince Charming, who also rides a horse. Because yes, love exists and it saves us. Love comes from A-MORS, deathless.”
