The girl and the officer, this is the Italian title chosen by Mediaset for the airing of the Turkish TV series Kurt Seyit and Shura on Canale 5. Broadcast from 4 March to 20 November 2014 by Star TV at home, the TV series is based on the novel of the same name by Nermin Bezmen and has twenty-one episodes (90 minutes each) over two seasons. In Italy we will see it during the summer, since the series is included in the summer schedule announced by Publitalia. Specifically, The Girl and the Officer will be broadcast on Friday in prime time on Canale 5.
Set during the First World War, this historical drama stars Lieutenant Kurt Seyt, the eldest son of a very wealthy Crimean family. Kurt falls in love with Sura, the daughter of a noble Russian family. Kurt leaves for the war and, when he returns, wounded, to St. Petersburg he finds it shocked by the Bolshevik revolution. Neither he, a soldier of the Tsar, nor Sura, a Russian nobleman, are safe, so they decide to escape across the Black Sea to reach Istanbul. But even here their love will be put to the test by the difficulties of life.
