Lagertha, female protagonist of Vikings and played by the gorgeous Katheryn Winnick, best embodies the values of Viking culturemanaging at the same time to lovingly care for their children and to assert themselves in battle, alongside her husband, imposing herself as one of the most ruthless and skilled warriors in Ragnar’s army. Vikingsfor her part, has certainly lost a lot in the post Ragnar, but if she made it to the end on her own legs, many of the merits belong to Lagertha.
3) Bonnie – Mom
Bonnie Plunkett definitely is one of the most loved mothers of the TV seriesone of the best written characters of Mom. 5) Cara Dutton – 1923
1923 it is the most recent series to enter the list by right. The prequel to Yellowstone and sequels of 1883, created by Taylor Sheridan, starring Cara Dutton, played by one of the queens par excellence of world cinema, Helen Mirren, who is also doing the honors of the house in this round by interpreting the matriarch of the Dutton family alongside Harrison Ford. Lena Headey’s test, which boasts several Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations, is undoubtedly one of the most iconic of modern seriality. Cersei Lannister’s character is probably the most talked about of the epic of Game of Thrones, detestable from the first episode, but so charismatic as to be able to enter the hearts of the spectators anyway. Cersei was there longest-serving queen in the series, as well as Jaime’s sister and lover, with whom she intertwines in one of the most compelling subplots of Westeros. For most Game of Thrones fans it is certainly difficult to love a Lannister (with a few exceptions), but Cersei’s cruelty has definitely made her one of the most successful villains of the last twenty years of TV series.
7) Kim Wexler – Better Call Saul
Our pupil deserves a place on this list, no need to explain too much. Kim is a very talented lawyer and from the heart of gold that for love lets itself be carried away in a whirlwind of wrongdoings and randomness that bring out its dark side. Maybe Kim wasn’t combative and pure like Lagertha in Vikingsbut it is a character whose introspection has made us aware of the human side of a woman with extraordinary abilities, and despite everything we will never stop loving and regretting her.
8) The chess queen
Ana Taylor-Joy’s interpretation in The chess queen is one of those that seem literally sewn on to the actor/actress in question. The young actress was acclaimed by audiences and critics for her performance, giving us a magnetic and charismatic character, enriched by an amazing camouflage. The complexity of Elizabeth Harmon is rendered perfectly by Joy, who manages to bring out her character in a purely male reality, thanks to a superior intelligence and a total autonomy acquired due to a difficult past to defeat. This list collects a huge range of character nuances, there are the “warriors” like Aunt Polly and Lagertha of Vikingsand also the real icons of emancipationlike Annalize Keating at the beginning and now Harmon, authentic champion of the series.
9) Zia Polly – Peaky Blinders
We close the list with a quote that is also a tribute to the late Helen McCrorywho died two years ago while filming the last season of Peaky Blinders.
