Lucasfilm unveiled the new and highly anticipated animated series at this year’s Star Wars Celebration: from Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Clone Wars, to the debut of Young Jedi Adventures.

Animation fans have received a great deal of surprises from the Lucasfilm at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London: Panels featured the directors and cast of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as the debut trailers for Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures and Star Wars : Visions Volume 2 and a special screening of the first two episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
Also announced were the full cast of Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, a second season of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, currently in production, and the third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch returning in 2024, all coming to Disney+
YOUNG JEDI ADVENTURES
On Saturday, host Krystina Arielle, executive producer James Waugh and showrunner Michael Olsen welcomed fans of all ages to a special screening of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. The screening began with the trailer launch, followed by a Q&A with Waugh and Olson. Dee Bradley Baker, the original voice of a young man named Nubs, surprised fans by introducing the projection in the voice of the animated young Jedi.
Set 200 years before The Phantom Menace, during the era of the High Republic, the animated series follows young Jedi as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn the invaluable skills needed to become a Jedi along the way. Produced by Lucasfilm in association with Wild Canary for Disney+ and Disney Junior, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is executive produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson (Puppy Dog Pals) is showrunner and executive producer.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, which will debut on Disnev+ on May 4th, features Jamaal Avery as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nubs, and Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs. as Nash Durango, Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83, Piot Michael as Master Yoda, Trey Murphy as Taborr Val Dorn, and Nasim Pedrad as Master Zia.
STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS
Next, fans attended a panel celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Emmy Award-winning series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Moderated by Amy Ratcliffe, the panel featured executive producer Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo VP, Animation Production Lucasfilm Animation, sound editor Matthew Wood and art director Kilian Plunkett, as well as original voice cast members Dee Bradley Baker, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor, who recalled how the series was born. Dave concluded the panel by announcing that he had so much fun creating the first season of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi that a second season is currently in production.
STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH
Also today, Monday April 10, was a panel dedicated to the acclaimed series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which has just concluded with the second season, in which the Bad Batches continued their journey in the aftermath of the Order 66 and the rise of the Empire. Host Amy Ratcliffe welcomed The Bad Batch executive producer and supervising director Brad Rau, executive producer and writer Jennifer Corbett, executive producer Athena Portillo, as well as actors Dee Bradley Baker, to the stage to discuss season two highlights. original voice of Bad Batch, and Michelle Ang, the original voice of Omega.
Executive producers Rau, Corbett and Portillo have announced that the series will return for a third and final season in 2024 to conclude this part of the story. Fans in attendance got a special teaser for Season 3, which previewed what’s to come, including the return of fan-favorite bounty hunter Fennec Shand, voiced by Ming-Na Wen in her original version.
STAR WARS: VISIONS
To conclude the panels dedicated to the animation of the Star Wars Celebration, the one dedicated to Star Wars: Visions was held today, Monday 10 April. The panel was packed with reveals ahead of the series’ May 4, 2023 release, including the first story details for all nine shorts, the full cast list, trailer, and key art.
The new Volume will continue to push the boundaries of Star Wars storytelling, with nine new shorts from nine studios from around the world. Using the most captivating animation styles from a variety of countries and cultures, the second volume offers a dynamic new perspective on the Star Wars mythos.
To kick off the panel, moderator Amy Ratcliffe introduced the Emmy-nominated series executive producers Josh Rimes, James Waugh and Jacqui Lopez, who talked about the success of the show’s first season and its unique concept, which consists of a collection of animated shorts that go beyond any form of animation and serve as a larger frame for the Star Wars narrative.
