A fire broke out yesterday morning at Bray Studios, where filming is underway on the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The incident reportedly took place in a warehouse on the outer perimeter.
The firefighters were obviously called, the work was interrupted for about an hour while the fire was put out and resumed later.
“At 12.26pm on Monday 3rd April we received reports of a fire at Bray Studios, near Windsor”The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said, adding that crews from Bracknell, Slough and Maidenhead fire stations have been dispatched to the scene. “On arrival they discovered a fire in a warehouse”.
The TV series moved production to the UK after filming the first batch of episodes in New Zealand.
For those already awaiting the return of Rings of Power, the showrunner Patrick McKay teases when new episodes might debut. During an interview, McKay shared an estimated time window for the season 2 debut: it might take “two more years”.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is available on Prime Video with its first season. In the meantime, filming has begun for the second, of which the first details have been revealed.
