In the past few hours, Paramount+ has announced to its subscribers the renewal of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which will return with a third season composed of 10 episodes. Furthermore, the platform has announced the release date of the second: the next chapter will be released on June 15th in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
A few days ago the co-creator and co-showrunner of the TV series Akiva Goldsman stated that filming has officially begun.
Sequel to Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds chronicles the second five-year mission of Captain Christopher Pike aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, prior to the command entrusted to James T. Kirk, and features Anson Mount (Christopher Pike), Ethan Peck (Spock) e Rebecca Roman (Una Chin-Riley) – first appeared in the classic series and in the second season of Star Trek: Discovery.
Meanwhile, Paramount+ has also announced the renewal of Star Trek: Lower Decks for a fifth season.
