In the past few hours Paramount+ has announced to its subscribers the renewal of Star Trek: Lower Decks, which will return with a fifth season composed of 10 episodes.
The fourth season of Star Trek: Lower Decks will arrive on the platform this summer, and will feature a crossover with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (recently revamped for a third installment). The crew of the USS Enterprise of Captain Christopher Pike will therefore be engaged in a “First Contact” with the reckless one of the USS Cerritos.
The episode in question, characterized by an interweaving of live-action and animated sequences, will be an integral part of the second narrative arc of the TV series which sees Anson Mount as Captain Pike, who will find himself interacting with the funny lower deck ensigns Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler, also voiced respectively by Tawny Newsome e Jack Quaid (The Boys).
Making the news even more exceptional is that the episode will feature the star of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Jonathan Frakesiconic face of Commander William Riker.
