In recent years, Italian TV series have been positively surprising the public, managing to overcome the stereotypes of a TV that for years has been considered inferior to that of other countries. Merit of this is the great success of products such as Sea Outwhich have enriched the RaiPlay catalogue, managing to demonstrate that even we Italians, when we want, are able to create noteworthy products.
With a cast almost entirely made up of young actors in their first experiences, with the exception of the adults in the series, which include names already known to the serial scene such as Carolina Crescentini, the Corinna of the iconic Boris, Sea Out she managed to make her way through prejudices, quickly winning the hearts of her many fans.
The stories of the very young inmates of the Nisida juvenile prison, the tales of their broken lives, those songs of hope addressed to the sea that lights up the nights behind bars, have excited young and old, accompanying us for three successful seasons.
But the rise of Mare Fuori is not yet ready to stop. The final cliffhanger of the show’s third season has left the door open for a new season, which is expected to be full of twists and turns.

A tender kiss, the joy of a love that finally seemed ready to blossom and then the drama: the conflict between Rosa and her father, Carmine who tries to save the situation, a gunshot that goes off stage, invisible to the spectators.
This is how the third season of Sea Outleaving us in doubt. That bullet hit someone? Will we say goodbye to other characters in the next chapter of the series?
Ivan Silvestrini tried to answer these and other questions, who through a question box on his social profiles provided some answers to the fans, leaving however several unsolved mysteries which fueled the curiosity of the spectators.
First of all, the director clarifies that some caution will be necessary in shooting the fourth season of the show: «I will record misleading scenes to make everything unreliablee,” he tells a worried fan that we have to wait at least a year to find out who really died in the series finale. In fact, Tiktok and his videos have already spoiled the content of the episodes too many times and this time Silvestrini wants protect yourself from any risk.
But the most interesting answer comes to a user’s question asking about that final gunshot: Will there be one dead or one wounded? Silvestrini’s words are anything but reassuring: «Of course, if that blow goes empty it would be the softest cliffhanger in the history of seriality».
A non-exhaustive answer, but one that confirms something we greatly feared: something really happened in those final minutes. The hope at this point is that the show won’t decide to take another major character away from us.
If the shot had killed Carmine, yet another original protagonist of the story would also go away. An exit that may not be welcomed by fans, who have already had to say during the third season Goodbye to several well-known faces, including that of Philip.
And the show has had other important losses, in particular that of Crescentini, the director of the institute who shocked everyone with an unexpected farewell to the show. But on her possible return Silvestrini reassures: «Well, she’s not dead».
