Wes Anderson will return to the Cannes festival to present his new film entitled Asteroid City during the 2023 edition.

This was revealed by the site of Deadline which claims to have had confirmation from several sources, thus adding the title to Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny and Killers of the Flower Moon, previously indicated among the works almost certainly arriving on the Croisette.
The film Asteroid City was written and directed by Wes Anderson, and has been described as a poetic meditation on the meaning of life.
At the center of events is an American city located near the desert in 1955 and its Junior Stargazer convention, which brings students and parents from all parts of the United States for a school competition.
The director had previously presented The French Dispatch and Moonrise Kingdom at the Cannes Film Festival, both in competition.
