Megan she was the first student to be eliminated during the first episode of Evening Of Amici: her exit was followed by a river of tears and sadness, above all, from her boyfriend Gianmarco Petrelli. Before leaving school for good, the dancer wanted to leave her in love with a sweet note in which she encouraged him to give his best, promising to wait for him outside the program. Guest by Silvia Toffanin at Verissimothe dancer told what this experience in talent was for her:
“These are days full of emotions, because it’s an experience that happens only once in a lifetime. It changed me as a person, as a dancer, it changed the way I see myself and other people. For me it was the beginning of my life as a dancer. I didn’t believe it, I still have to realize everything, but now I feel different. Then it’s a program that allows us to make ourselves known on a professional and personal level.”
Despite its deletion, Megan she won a 5-week scholarship that will allow her to study dance in New York, a wonderful opportunity for her who started dancing to help her mother with the expenses:
“I worked in some television programs to help my mother with the expenses, it didn’t matter to me, it was my dream. I couldn’t study because I had to work, I joined Amici to study, I wanted to deepen myself as a dancer, I wanted to fight for my dreams , despite the criticism on social media for my way of dancing. I moved many times in my life, because my parents separated and we moved house. I’ve never had a fixed point of reference.”
The dancer is very attached to her mother by an “indescribable, special love”, but she admitted that she has known another type of love in the program, the one that binds her to the dancer Gianmarco Petrelli:
“I didn’t expect it, initially we teased each other, but it was nothing concrete. Then we got to know each other really well. We are bound by esteem, friendship, trust. The first thing I did was go to him after class: it’s a strong love, different from the ones I’ve had.”
