‘Guess what just happened’ writes Steve Martin on Twitter posting a photo of Selena Gomez on his arm dressed as a bride, promptly imitated by the Only Murders in the Building account.
Steve Martin has provided fans with a sneak peek of what’s to come in Only Murders in the Building 3 publishing some photo of Selena Gomez in a wedding dress.
In a new photo posted to Twitter, the 77-year-old actor dons a sleek tux as he poses with his costar Selena Gomez, who wore a vintage lace wedding dress and matching veil.
“Guess what just happened!” writes the actor accompanying the photo.
Fans immediately interpreted Steve Martin’s photo as an homage to Father of the Bride. In the 1991 film, Martin plays George Banks, whose daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams Paisley) returns home after studying abroad to tell her parents that she is engaged to her. The film follows George as he disastrously meets his future in-laws and adjusts to the idea of marriage by teaming up with a hilarious marriage counselor played by Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short.

Selena Gomez also posted on Instagram photos of her in her wedding dress while she performed some funny poses showing off her white combat boots and a can of Coca-Cola.
“I have no captions. Just a normal day at work. @onlymurdershulu”he wrote.
In Only Murders in the Building 3 Gomez, Short and Martin will reprise their roles of Mabel Mora, Oliver Putnam and Charles-Haden Savage, respectively. In a recent video from the set, Selena Gomez also revealed that Andrea Martin would be reprising her role as Joy, Charles’ makeup artist and love interest. Meryl Streep’s arrival was teased in the first teaser trailer for Only Murders in the Building 3.
