The post-apocalyptic fantasy series will return to Netflix with new episodes on April 27.
The half-man, half-deer boy, the lovable Gus from Sweet Toothhe’s tired of hiding in the teaser trailer italiano from the second season of the series Netflix. Based on the beloved DC Comics comic by Jeff Lemire, Sweet Tooth will return to streaming with 8 new episodes next April 27th.
Sweet Tooth: The plot of the series
Produced by Jim Mickle, Susan Downey, Robert Downey, Jr., Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran, Sweet Tooth in the first season he recounted the events that took place ten years after the so-called ‘Great Collapse’, a sort of apocalypse that threw the world into chaos and gave birth to mysterious beings half man and half animal. At the center of the tale is Gus (Christian Convery), a half-child, half-deer hybrid. After living ten years in a remote wood, Gus met the lonely wanderer Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). The two began traveling across America, searching for answers about their pasts and their loved ones.
The previews of the second season
In the new episodes, Gus and his band of hybrid companions are held captive by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men. In the new teaser we see the hybrids scrambling to evade capture, as we’re told that their human side, coupled with their animal side, is “the key to the cure.” Seeking to consolidate power in pursuit of the cure, Abbot uses the children for prisoner Doctor Aditya Singh’s experiments (Adeel Akhtar), who is trying to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani). To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, embarking on a dark journey to discover his origins and the role of his mother Birdie (Amy Seimetz) in the events leading up to the Great Collapse.
Meanwhile, outside the Reservation, Tommy Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) and Aimee Eden (Dania Ramirez) unite to free the hybrids, an alliance that will be tested as Jepperd’s secrets come to light. As revelations from the past threaten the possibility of redemption in the present, Gus and his newfound family find themselves on a collision course with Abbot and the forces of evil that seek to eliminate them for good.
The cast and the new characters
In the second season of Sweet Tooth they will also come back Star Murray (The Undoing), Neil Sandilands (The Flash) e Marlon Williams (A Star Is Born) whose characters were promoted to regular. Come back too Stefania LaVie Owen as Becky and newcomers join the regular cast Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. (Circle Of Sisters Expo) e Yonas Kibreab (Blood Moon), starring Teddy Turtle and Finn Fox, respectively.
