Bridgerton it’s the last frontier of trash that we really like, it’s scandalous but not in a negative sense. Born from the novels of Julia Quinn, two seasons have arrived on Netflix so far.
The first season starred the love story between Daphne Brigerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings Simon Basset (played by Regé-Jean Page).
And Page has recently revealed some background on the realization of the most intimate scenes with Dynevor.
Regé-Jean Page reveals the pact made with Phoebe Dynevor on the set of Bridgerton
Guest of The Late Show by Stephen Colbert in promotion of his new film Dungeons & Dragons: Thieves’ Honor, the former Duke of Hastings from the Netflix series revealed a curious background: he and Phoebe Dynevor had made an agreement establishing which foods and drinks to avoid and which, on the contrary, they could enjoy just before shooting a scene together. So on set they ended up having “a tremendous breath of coffee”.
Page dice:
“That’s what nobody knows about Bridgerton. Phoebe and I had awful coffee breath the entire time. We made a deal early on. It’s one of the things you do: you walk up to the other actor and you’re like, ‘Hey, so this scene is after lunch. What are our rules? No onions? No garlic? Do I have to have coffee beforehand?’. And then we both were like, ‘Actually, I really like coffee, so I don’t mind.’ I thought ‘thank God’. And we had this coffee safe place for the entire shoot.”
In the past also Phoebe Dynevor, interviewed by Glamourshe replied to those who asked her what Page smelled like during filming: “It smells really, really nice. She’s never had bad breath and she doesn’t smoke or anything like that. We both drink a lot of coffee, so we both smell like that sometimes, which was fine.”
Regé-Jean Page is present only in the first season of Bridgerton and recently the real reason for his exit from the scene has emerged.
