Bridgerton had debuted shortly before, at Christmas. I remember landing in Northern Ireland and getting into the car, en route from the airport, when the driver turned on the radio and they ran a competition to find me. They said: “Regé-Jean Page is in town. Call us if you know where he is “So I holed up in the hotel.”
