Spring returns and the fun starts again: Saturday March 18 the spotlights are turned back on new season Of Cinecittà WorldRome’s cinema and TV amusement park.
The new 2023 season promises ten months of excitement, adrenaline and the desire to be together with friends and family with 40 attractions, 7 themed areas dedicated to the main film genres (Cinecittà, Rome, Spaceland, Far West, Adventureland, The Kingdom of Ice , Aqua World), 6 live shows a day and over 60 events on the calendar. This year, Cinecittà World’s offer is further enriched: four great novelties for the new season will enrich the Park.
“From 2 June, with the opening of the Aqua World aquatic area, the fun doubles: we will inaugurate Vortex and Boomerang, two spectacular new slides of the latest generation, to be experienced in company – declares the CEO of Cinecittà World, Stefano Cigarini – and continues our development plan which will take us from 1 to 3 theme parks in recent years”. The novelties of the 2023 season do not end here: from May the Palastudio will be built, a new theater of over 2,100 square meters designed for events, shows and concerts.
Also new is the Police Academy show, the Stunt Show Live which will make the adrenaline skyrocket between spins and acrobatics on four wheels. The amusement park in Rome offers unique attractions in Italy, including: Volarium – The Flying Cinema, a flying theatre, where guests literally fly in front of the screen suspended 12 meters high, Inferno, the indoor rollercoaster that winds circles of Dante’s Inferno and Jurassic War, an immersive tunnel in which visitors, aboard a train, find themselves catapulted back in time 60 million years, in the midst of epic battles between the most terrifying Dinosaurs. Altair, the outdoor roller coaster is a cult for the brave: with its 10 upside down passages, it holds the record for inversions in Europe.
And for those looking for a bit of fresh air, you’ll be spoiled for choice, between the descents at 70km/h in the water of Aktium or the 4 attractions of The Ice Kingdom, the only playground on snow and ice in the Belpaese . Cinecittà World is the fastest growing theme park in Italy: +400% in 5 years. With over half a million visitors it has become the 1st Amusement Park in Rome and 4th Park in Italy. An innovative park that makes 90% of its sales online and which, thanks to the Smart Park project, allows you to manage tickets, lunches, book attractions and many other services directly from your mobile phone.
With the reopening of the park, the season of events also starts: on Saturday 18 March at Job Talent Day, 300 people are being sought to be employed in the Park until 7.1.2024. Sunday 19 March Cinecittà World celebrates Father’s Day with a day dedicated to solidarity in collaboration with the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital: you will be able to meet doctors and hospital specialists and learn more about your daughters’ health. 50% of the relevant admissions will be donated to charity to the Bambino Gesù Foundation. Entertainment is instead guaranteed by the first of many film premieres that will mark the 2023 season: the Italian Preview of the film Dungeons & Dragons: L’onore dei ladri scheduled at 5 pm .
The season of events will be enhanced by major film and television productions, showcases and masterclasses such as that of Alex Britti on May 7, by events such as Stelle di Fuoco, the Italian fireworks championship (July 7-16), by major concerts summer, from the 7th edition of Viva l’Italia, the largest joint event ever held in an amusement park. And with the arrival of autumn comes the chills of October – the month of Halloween, the magic of Christmas at Cinecittà World, and the great New Year’s Eve party.
On Friday 24 March alongside Cinecittà World opens Roma World, the theme park dedicated to Ancient Rome with its unique experience: it allows you to experience an ancient Roman day with many activities to enjoy in the midst of nature. From gladiatorial shows to the possibility of staying overnight in the camp like a true legionary. From archery to falconry shows, all topped off with a good Roman lunch or dinner in the Taberna, and a little shopping in the old market. Roma World’s novelty for 2023 is the Magic Forest: an evocative journey through lights, projections and sound effects immersed in the cork forest. The partnership between culture and entertainment has also been renewed: thanks to the collaboration between Cinecittà World and the Campidoglio, all holders of an access ticket to the Capitoline Museums can enjoy free admission to Roma World.
Roma World aims over the years to reconstruct Imperial Rome live, with the aim of immersing millions of guests and tourists in history. Meanwhile, Rome On Fire will make its debut on June 1, 2024, a spectacular evening show in the majestic setting of the Ben Hur set. Finally, on 2 June it will be the turn of Aqua World: phase one of the new water park of Cinecittà World, where you can sunbathe between sandy beaches, the Cinepiscina, the slow river Paradiso, alternating relaxation with the emotions offered by the two large new slides Vortex and Boomerang.
